Frequently Asked Questions

What is the SAC and what is its function?

SAC has two important functions. To write and carry out the School Improvement Plan.  To oversee and approve the expenditure of state funds received for SAC. SAC is very important in bringing together parents and their child's interest at heart and the community that supports the school. They match those interests with the professional interests of the faculty and staff to best support the students education.

When are SAC meetings held?

Second Tuesday of each month from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Meetings are held in the HHS Media Center

Why attend a SAC meeting?

It's a great way to find out what's happening at the school.

Meeting agenda includes: Student updates, Business Partner updates, Academic Booster updates, Budget-Funding Requests, Principal Updates and New Business.

Students and parents can offer input for the programs at HHS.

Students get community service hours for attending.

The group strives to hold brief and informative meetings.

Membership is open to the principal, students, parents, teachers, staff members as well as community members and business partners. 

Visitors are always welcome.

We have a county-funded budget to assist HHS in meeting its improvement goals.
