HHS Media Center Electronic Resources
These resources are provided by the School District of Osceola County for all students and employees of the district. Each link provided here requires specific login information that can be obtained from Miss J in the media center at Harmony.

Ask a Librarian provides Florida residents with live virtual reference services via local library customized web sites from 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday (EST), and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday (EST). An e-mail form is available to patrons 24 hours per day, seven days per week. All e-mail is answered by the user's local library.

The Florida Electronic Library is a gateway to select Internet resources that offers access to comprehensive, accurate, and reliable information. Available resources include electronic magazines, newspapers, almanacs, encyclopedias, and books, providing information on topics such as current events, education, business, technology, and health issues. The Florida Electronic Library offers information for all age groups, including homework help for students and resources for teachers.

Florida Virtual Library is a large resource site with a variety of databases to search! Provided by the state of Florida, its subjects range from general reference to specific subject areas. Some highlights include:
- Infotrac Onefile- search full text articles
- General Reference Center Gold- search popular print reference books online
- Health Reference Center Academic- information specific to health and the human body
- Informe- an entirely Spanish resource
- Student Edition- a high-school, college level research database
- What Do I Read Next? - an interactive tool to help you find books similar to what you are interested in reading
Teaching Books - www.teachingbooks.net
Teaching Books provides access to authors and their works for students, incorporating multimedia such as videos and audio read aloud files for students to watch or listen to online. Each page featuring an author also provides links to summaries of their books, web links to both official author pages and excellent fan sites, and a bibliography of author works.
