Principal: Buddy Butler

Mr. Grover 'Buddy' Butler, Harmony High School Assistant Principal

Grover "Buddy"" Butler was born in Pikeville, Kentucky in 1964 and his family moved to Columbus, Ohio shortly after. After spending much of his childhood in Ohio, the family returned to Kentucky where Buddy attended Elkhorn City High School.

In 1986 Buddy graduated from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky with a degree in History and Government. Shortly after graduation, he moved to St. Cloud where he worked as a substitute teacher with Osceola County Schools before moving on to work in the private sector with distribution management companies. Ten years later, he returned to education as a History teacher at Narcoossee Community School. He earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and served as Dean of Students at Narcoossee Community School and Gateway High School. He was appointed assistant principal at Harmony High School midway through the school's opening year in 2004, and became the Principal of Harmony High School in December of 2008.

Buddy's wife, Jackie, is a kindergarten teacher at Narcoossee Community School. He has two sons, Aaron, who attends the University of West Florida, and Brandon, a 9th grader who is attending HHS in 2009. "I am excited about the opportunity to continue the great things that have been started here at Harmony High School. I look forward to working with all of our stakeholders to build upon our success. As a long-term resident of east Osceola County, I consider it a great privilege to serve the community in this position. This is my home and I am strongly committed to working with the students, parents, and staff to make this the best high school in Florida."


Assistant Principal: Kim Miller

Mrs. Kim Miller, Harmony High School Assistant PrincipalKim Miller was born in Brooksville, Florida, but has been a resident of Osceola County since 1963. She graduated from Osceola High School before attending Florida State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Central Florida, a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development at Webster University. Following that, she earned an Educational Specialist degree from Nova University.

Kim began working in for the School District of Osceola County in 1986 in the Human Resources Department. Later she served as a teacher, Dean and Curriculum Specialist at Denn John Middle before becoming an Assistant Principal. She then served as Assistant Principal at Parkway Middle School before coming to Harmony High.

Kim's husband, Jack, is the owner of local business, Jack Miller's Tree Service. She has two children. Kaley is completing her Sophomore year at University of West Florida. Her son Austin is a 8th grader at St. Cloud Middle School.

"Harmony High School has accomplished many exciting things since it's opening in 2004. I hope to be a part of its continued growth and development. I feel privileged to work with the staff, parents and community."
